Anyone seen this advertised on the travel channel. He is traveling through USA tasting various states. Think there 4 episodes in the series.

I'll give them a look. I found the old Michael Jackson Beer Hunter episodes from the late 80s on Channel 4 online recently. They're still a good watch too.

From the title of the original post I was thinking this was going to be about nothing but John Smiths and Sam Smiths beers. I remember them from the seventies as being on a par with dish water...

It’s a good program , been watching it for a few weeks. Last weeks episode was great for flavoured pale ales, adding honey , apples etc

If this is the same series, I think I saw it about 6 months ago or so. I thought it was quite good but didn't go into much detail on any of the topics covered. I know that it is intended to give a flavour of each topic so that you can research more yourself but there was one episode where they were discussing the different shapes of glasses. I would have liked a bit more detail rather than 'Look at all these different glasses. Each beer has it's own glass'. But no real reasoning given as to why or how the various shapes developed - I don't even know why the 'expert' was brought in to prop up the bar!

Edit: Just watching it now. This is season 2 which I haven't seen before
