Making an IPA today but my efficiency seems to be through the roof - currently boiling 24l @ 1.054, I'm expecting a boil off of around say 2.5l. Im aiming for around 6% ABV using US05 nd my calc says I should be starting with around [email protected] - Should I add water now? Wait and see what the sugar reading when boil is finished is and take it from there? Or just leave it alone! I'm really concerned as its suposed to be a Punk clone and Im looking to get 6% and 50 IBU but as it stands now I am going to be producing a 7% beer!
