I brewed this bad boy last Saturday, I alluded to it on a post last week but I thought I'd share the recipe. Upon tasting the sample jar my good lady friend remarked that's f*king gorgeous - classy!
4.00 Kg Pale Malt
0.30 Kg Torrified Wheat
0.20 Kg Light Crystal Malt
Mashed at 68c for 90 minutes in 12l of water
40g Challenger boiled for 90 minutes - 25 IBU
20g Bobek Boiled for 15 minutes + Protafloc
35g Bobek added when wort was at 80C
Fermented with a large slug of Cairngorm Yeast. I got 26l of 1.037 wort which has fermented to 1.009 putting this in the bantam weight category at around 3.8%. I am planning to dry hop this with a handful or two of bobek for a couple of weeks in secondary as soon as I've freed up my fridge (read supped a polypin of London Pride)
This may be heresy but I prefer Bobek to the Styrian Goldings they replaced
