Glenfiddich have released a new whisky finished in IPA casks.

I need this!

I would be more impressed if they had used real wooden beer barrels that were used to store and serve IPA for a few years.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen a wooden beer barrel sat outside a pub for many years.

There were very good reasons for the old joke ...

"Barman, this beer is cloudy."

"What do you expect for a shilling, thunder and lightning?"

... but when you got a decent pint it was worth having! :thumb::thumb:

I saw the adverts for that, and I just can't see it adding anything pleasant to a whisky. I'd try it, but my hopes aren't high.
