Is this a Saison?

Never had a saison before so I would be interested to find out.
Seeing I have one on my next brew day.

Biere de garde is related to saison but it's not the same thing. Saison is more phenolic and spicy, more yeast driven than the bdg which has more malt flavours and a cleaner fermentation character. If you want to try a good saison look out for Dupont, it's considered the quintessential saison.
 
It's Biere de garde but leans a bit towards Belgian blond. Might as well buy it as it's cheap at lidl.
