Not sure how these prices compare.

Thanks for the link. I'm currently working on a house bitter which I want to be mostly brewing. Once I've worked out exactly what hops I want to use, this supplier could be my goto for hops buying in 1kg bulk, especially as he seems to be a farmer who specialises in the HB market
Looking forward I think hops may become quite expensive for us HBers as the pound drops and we leave the EU, so for me buying English hops in bulk may well be the way forward. :thumb:

I've got the price list from brewers select. The only problem i can foresee is they only sell them in 5kg packs, thats a lot of hops!

Prices for the hops people have mentioned

Cascade - £22/kg
Columbus - £16.20/kg
Herkules - £8.88/kg
Bramling Cross - £12.20/kg

Selected others
EKG - £26.2/kg
Wakatu - £28.91/kg
Bravo - £20.40/kg

There are others so please ask for specifics.

As I said I'll have to order 5kg of them, most are available in leaf or pellet

I would be up for Herkules, it's one of my primary bittering hops. Also some bramling X.

I would be up for Herkules and Cascade. Prefer leaf hops but would take pellets if thats what the majority want.

I'm assuming no one wanted to go through with the ordering and vacuum packing the hops? I've found these guys which seem ridiculously cheap! http://www.brewersselect.co.uk/ I've managed to find an old list of prices - http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...t.co.uk/document/32+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk

They have hops under £10 per kilo, and hops like citra and Falconer's Flight at around £20 per kilo, however they need to be bought in 5kg bags. This would more than halve the cost of hops, which is helpful when wanting to brew hoppy IPAs!
