A little advice guys. Normally I sieve out my boil hops as I transfer the wort into the FV but it seems that some got dropped over the edge of the sieve and are now floating nicely on top of the Krausen. My question is should I use a sterilised spoon or sieve to retrieve them out the FV risking disturbing the CO2 on top or will they settle to the bottom in time? Could they leave off flavours if left?

Thanks,

Chris.

Hops left too long in the FV (when dry hopping) can impart a grassy taste. However, you're only talking about a few and they'll have been boiled to death anyway. In short, I wouldn't worry about it. At the same time, if you're concerned, you could easily fish them out. Again, I wouldn't be too concerned about disturbing the CO2.
