I have a tub of Young's Yeast Nutrient, is it any use for beer because it does not mention beer on the label?

I bung in half a teaspoon during the boil...don't know if it makes a difference but I'm not throwing it out. Plus when gestapo headquarters is watching it makes me look like I know what I'm doing....

Year nutrient

You don't really need it in beer as the wort itself has enough naturally occurring stuff to keep it happy but there's also no harm in adding some especially in high gravity brews where it may struggle a bit. I've certainly seen nutrient sold specifically for beer making, not sure how it might differ from the wine version. Wine does need it.
