Is it worth adding hops to my Coopers Canadian Blonde kit?

Hi,

I have read a few threads about adding hops but they seem to be mostly advocating adding them to the boil or flameout (whatever that is). So my question is, should I add some Saaz hops to my kit beer whilst it is in the FV? If so, should I make a tea of it (and then chuck the lot in) or just put in the dry hops (in a muslin cloth?)? Am I likely to get an infection from dry hops? When is the best time to add it?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Yes adding hops to a Canadian Blonde will really improve it - you could either chuck them straight into the fv about 3-5 days before bottling/kegging, or make a hop tea as you suggest and either chuck the lot in after 20/30 minutes or strain the hops out and just add the tea. Take you pick, they all work well. Hops don't infect beer, people are dry hopping all over the place every day, they are anti-bacterial and are used to preserve real ale as well as bitter and flavour it.
