Planning on making a lager next week, but only want to make about 15-18l. Can I still ferment this in a normal 25l FV or is there too much headspace?

The only alternative I have is to split it into a 10l bucket and a 5l Demi, which would mean scaling back to 15l only.

It will be fine. i have actually just put a kit on today same thing only 15ltrs
 
Thanks, was planning on brewing a full length but it's for my brother in law, going to put 5l in a barrel and bottle the rest.

Thought it would be easier to make a smaller batch as I don't really drink lager and it's less steps for the yeast starter.
