Aha! I've had beers that I made with GV12 that have started out thin abd then improved. It's an ok yeast but not one I use regularly. Try another, like US05 or S04 perhaps.

Cheers will give those a go. Have to say i am very impatient but managed to condition some for a month and they do taste pretty good if not my cup of tea. New yeast is on the shopping list
