I've been reading a few books of late too.....
Dummies Guide to Homebrewing. It's American based, but still very interesting - explains everything in a "You don't need to be a rocket scientist" kind of way.
I have it in eBook format too so I can read it on the Kindle.
Good Housekeeping. Home Made Wine & Beer - Some very interesting recipes, although it's been written by a wine expert which I find a bit odd.
A Guide to Craft Brewing - On my "To read" list.
I've got a couple of others, but I'm going through one at a time.

I bought an old copy of GW camra guide to homebrewing and between that and John Palmer How to Brew online I've done okay.

I started with Dave Lime's book, then got 3 of GW's and finially the Nexus copy of MO's one.
I always wonder what revisions the newer releases have, compared to my early editions, but can't afford to purchase them all again

"Designing Great Beers" by Ray Daniels, is great book if you want to learn about puting together your own recipes.
It is a bit dated but still I've found it very usefull.
