Hi Guys,

I'm going to be brewing up a clone of Brew Dogs Electric India from the DIY Dog book.

The book says the Ph should be 4.4

I'm guessing this is after the mash is complete? Does this mean I should look to lower the Ph during the boil or after the boil?

I'm going to assume Lactic Acid should help me out here as well?

I've had a search and a read of strange_steve's sticky on water treatment but I'm not sure I've found an answer yet.

Hoping one of you knowledgeable types can help.

I understood the same,

The recipe shows this, but like you I thought 5.2 - 5.7 was needed for whatever magic is done during the mash...

VOLUME 20L 5gal
BOIL VOLUME 25L 6.6gal
ABV 5.2%
TARGET FG 1005
TARGET OG 1045
EBC 15
SRM 7.5
PH 4.4
ATTENUATION LEVEL 88.9%

Most of the other parameters in that list are post mash so imagine ph is the same
