Hi - I brewed a one can Sundew kit with 20g first gold pellets and a kilo of raspberries towards end of fermentation. It started at 1050 and ended at 1012 so happy with this. Problem is it is cheek puckeringly dry and needs some residual sweetness put back. I propose to add some lactose and then 40g brew sugar for secondary fermentation in 330ml bottles (12l batch made).
Question is roughly how much lactose to use? Terrym mentioned drawing off a 100ml and adding a gram at a time of lactose to find acceptable level and multiplying this amount. Also does the amount of priming sugar sound about right?
Also kiddies Calpol now comes with a dinky little syringe thingy which is perfect for dispensing 2.5ml or 5ml priming mixture into bottles!
anybody any ideas on this?
thanks
Ian
