Hi

I have a barrel that I think is a hambleton bard type, 40 pint. It had no oring in place on the lid, but I had two spares with it. When I go to put them in, they both appear to be slightly too large and don't sit snug, leaving a gap. Is there some technique to this or are there indeed different 4 inch o rings for different kegs?

Ian

Take the lid down to you LHBS and see if they're all the same size or if a new one fits in better than your current ones.

If the ring diameter is too large and you desperately need it, cut a piece out of the o ring a glue together with super glue.
Until you get the correct o ring, this may help you out of trouble ;)

Barry.

I had the same problem with the o-ring that was supplied with my Hambleton Bard barrel (with a 4-inch, red cap). A replacement 4-inch o-ring was exactly the same size; it seems that the rim in the cap is a non-standard size. Does anyone know if any other caps will fit HB barrels?

Jon
