Hello, I've spent the last year having all my homebrew questions answered by this site... so thank you. But I've now got something I can't find an answer to:
My Co2 tank leaks when it's cold. When I first put the system together, I had no leaks, after pouring beer turned off my co2 tank with the tap attached direct to the tank. once in my Keezer (set to 14oC) over a couple of day it started to leak at an increasing rate out the top of the tap knob. so I took it out of the keezer and after all warming up for about a day the leak had stopped...
I experimented with opening the tap all the way but it still leaked. Can it be the temperature change is affecting tolerances. If it was hot when tightened could cooling it leave it loose? has anyone else had this problem?
I guess an obvious solution is leave my tank outside the keezer... it's a bit messy, but I could fit in a third keg that way.
