Absolutely disgusted by Ticketmaster site.Had PC, phone and tablet for both UK and Ireland site for Dublin tickets waiting and told not to refresh your browser to be told nearly an hour later that there are no tickets available then to find scumbags flogging tickets ant double and triple the price oooohhhhhhh.Rant over but still have too tell my daughter and her friend as it was part of her 16th birthday present...

I don know if it's the same set up but viagogo were all over the news not long ago.

The whole ticketing market is a legalised scam that the Govt refuse to do anything about. they crack down on touts and allow selling on line at inflated prices.
Even going to a venue in Newcastle (Arena) I was charged a booking fee to buy two tickets off them. For what? they have tickets for sale and I want to buy and they charge me just for buying them, imaging if you had a 10p selling fee for every item you bought in the supermarket.

Oh I checked that site out and somewhere around £250 and upwards.Twickets is the only place Ed Sheeran will accept for resale tickets but unfortunately doesn't cover ROI events.Cheers all the same...

I have seen tickets with a localish travel agent for Birmingham. Upgraded seats (whatever that means) transport and hotel, think it was 210pp

My skint mate decided this week to treat his missus to a Celine Dion concert in Manchester. Buying the tickets online with the credit card he'd borrowed from his ol' man, they came to 200 notes but somwhere between hitting 'Buy Now' and getting the receipt it'd gone up to 600 notes lol. Much family violence and general unpleasantness ensued. Soft bleeder could've seen the tribute act Celine Doin for the price of a few babychams and packets of crisps at the local WMC.

Er ... there are laws against Ticket Touts already ... :thumb:

... it's just that they are mainly ignored and not enforced!

As the laws are being ignored and aren't enforced, I reckon they will become a prime target as being some of the "Red Tape" that out glorious leaders are promising to abolish after "Brexit"!

Laws against touts however the Govt allows "legitimate" ticket reselling. maybe some of their mates own the reselling agencies as they feircely resist any controls on them. No better than Fat Stan Flashman, at least he never pretended to be legit, he merely "offered a service and fulfilled a demand"!

Managed to get Evanescence and Periphery tickets realtively easily through Ticketmaster. Granted the Evanescence ones were pre-sale.

I did try to get tickets for Avenged sevenfold in Cardiff, but they were up for some rediculous price on "Get me in". Something like £150 each and your first born.

That said most of the bands that I follow are relatively unpopular 🤓. So getting tickets is never a problem, prog metal all the way!
