Total volume of water and volume of water in the mash need to be stated, right? Does the "total" refer to all liquor I'll use in batch sparging (39,5L) or to my boil volume (32,0L)? If I use the former I'm advised to add 18g of calcium chloride to the boil for a stout which seems a lot but perhaps I'm just a soft water boy...
