It's a drink. If somebody doesn't drink it sometime, what's the point?
OK, maybe wait for a special occasion, and keep the empties for the sentimental value.

That's my thoughts, do your gift justice and enjoy it the way it's meant to be enjoyed, you could toast the anniversary of your friends passing with a nice wee dram, enjoy!!!!
