...the missus is finally dipping her toe into the home brewing!
After a couple of months of prodding me to make wine rather than beer, I offered to help her to make it herself. So we're off to find some dandelions and/or nettles this weekend and will be buying a couple of demi-johns when payday comes. :)
Another bonus is that she now cannot whinge about equipment or bottles lying around as they will be under collective responsibility!
 
try some of the wow recipies,apple,orange,pineapple..etc

you can use 5 litre water bottles from the supermarket,
there £1 and you get free water... :party:
 
Will the plastic ones keep wine for a month or more though? I'm concerned about oxygen getting in after a long time.
 
The plastic bottles will cause no problem I've had stuff stored for 9 months to a year. Getting an airlock fitted to the lids is your only problem but its not too hard.

I would consider glass DJ's if you were storing something like elderberry Port for a couple of years tho.... :D
