Hi All,

First of all happy new year to everyone and may your year be filled with good quality homebrew :)

I have a question regarding two tin brews………is it ok to only use one of the tins and only 20 pints of water and half of the yeast and save the other tin for a later date? Are both tins in the kit the same mixture?

Cheers

Hello , I'm new to brewing and am on my first two tin job , i think it's 2 different tins that need to be mixed .

Cheers d

EDIT - seems im wrong VVVV

I have made plenty of two tins before, its just I do not have enough bottles at the moment to kick off a 40 pint batch so am wondering if I can just do 20.

Cheers

Just drink more!

I didn't think I had enough bottles but in the time its taken to ferment a stout I've got enough for that, the one after and some for the one after that...

:drink:

Yes, you can split a pack, both tins should be the same.

Don't use 20 pints of water though, it's water to 20 pints.

Use the whole yeast sachet and buy another for the 2nd can.

Alternatively, buy a bigger fermenting bucket.

would seem i was very wrong , that's interesting , i wish id know that before trying my first one so i could of learnt on half a run .

cheers d
