Mrs has been out picking blackberrys again so thought i would confiscate some for a wine.

1.5l Apple juice(from concentrate)
1.8kg Liddle cheap honey
500g approx fresh blackberrys
Wilko wine yeast
1tps pectolase

Used .5l of the juice to make a starter, added a tps of nutrient
Tomorrow morning i will boil the honey with 1l of water with the berries. Give them a good mash and let it cool then add the remaining 1l of juice, starter, pectolase and more nutrient.
After 1 month i am going to rack onto 500g of frozen defrosted berries.
With any luck will be ready for Xmas. :lol:
 
This has turned out into probably the best Melomel yet. Slightly too sweet but strong taste of Blackberries. At first i thought i had forgotten to add the berries to secondary as they sunk. Will definitely be trying this again with frozen Raspberries and slightly less honey.
