California Connoiseur can be bought slightly cheaper than Beaverdale kits despite containing about 2 litres more than Beaverdale.

Really? The ones I was looking at were more expensive than Beaverdale.

I'm clearly looking in all the wrong places :D

I'm sure there will be cheaper places...

Excellent, good find!

I've got a Kenridge on the go at the moment but I fancy trying a couple of 6 bottle kits just to compare the results :)

Thanks for that

That is seriously cheap compared to my LHBS :hmm:

Not to say that I will buy from that site though :nono:

I'll simply use it as a bartering tool with my LHBS who I'll always support for their great advice     ;)

Can I suggest you brew iot newt time with a speciality yeast.
Vintners VR21 yeast is Cab Sav yeast only costs £1.44 It can
be re-used time and againand would make a big difference to
the yeast supplied with the kit:
Exceptional strain for full fruit varietal and country red wines promoting good structure, balance and colour. The majority of yeast strains strip out fruit flavour and colour from the must, not so with VR21 which is particularly noted for preserving and retaining the natural fruit characteristics of the grape / country fruit and enhancing palate length. VR21 is a relatively neutral strain producing subtle levels of aroma and flavour compounds, allowing full expression of varietal / country characteristics whilst enhancing colour, wine structure and balance. VR21 is an ethanol tolerant killer strain, capable of fermenting to 15% abv. ethanol. Good production of glycerol, low volatile acid production, zero sulphur dioxide formation and low foaming.
I have no connection with Vintners.
