Hi All

Am I OK calling it AG as i am using extract to bump up the ABV due to mash tun size?

My intention with this beer is to age it on some whiskey barrel chips that i bought off ebay.

If the beer is OK I will use it as a base recipie to make some derevitives from: Coffee, Chocolate, Vanilla, Cherry, Smoked etc.

What do you guys think?

I'd call it AG as it is more like that than extract but I'm sure somebody will be willing to argue the toss about it :)

Not sure how it will turn out, seems like not a lot of dark grains to me, but I favour using more brown malt for the colour in that sort of thing.

Thanks for the feedback.

Thankfully i do like the harsher flavours from dark malts. Some of the craft beers i have drank have a very harsh bite from the dark malts, i hope mine isn't too much.
