ive made a good few brews with my pico boiler with no real issues, but one thing in the back of my mind was.. what if the element conked out halfway through the boil ect, i would be right deep in it as i have no large pots ect for the stove
so ive added a 2nd element.. there only [FONT="]ã 21.55 from pico's website inc del[FONT="]ivery[/FONT]
[FONT="]i had to fit it at a slight offset so the chiller would fit ok.. i just used a 40mm holesaw from screwfix,
also gives me the option of using two elements to get to the boil quicker and lets me put more water in the boiler without worrying about getting it too the boil, and then turn one off once boiling.. but mainly its just [FONT="]in case one conks out
