Anybody watching this tonight ?

How can you possibly decide who to give a free house/apartment to ?

What would you do in same circumstance ?

I didn't but if I had a spare house and didn't need the money I would not make that decision I would sell it and give the money to several charities.

Having just read this i can honestly say i am glad i missed it - https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2017/aug/05/get-house-for-free-povery-porn-most-pernicious

Marco, we are told via a solemn voiceover, has a global portfolio worth in the region of £25m. Meanwhile, a typical home in Preston costs eight times the average salary, and one in five people are living in social housing. So who will win over Marco with their tale of hardship? Will it be single mum Holly, 18, who lives alone with a newborn baby in a cramped flat flecked with mould, or partially sighted Jo, struggling with sky-high rent and a demanding yet low-paid job? Or will it be the family of refugees from Syria a father and his two adult sons hoping to find political asylum, forbidden from working, and thus reduced to sleeping under bridges and on church floors?
.

Regardless of his purpose this guy gave a leg up to 3 people/families.

He didn’t need to.

Hats off.

If we all did this . What a better place we’d all live in.

I am not knocking anyone who watches and enjoys the show but I am not a fan of programmes like this if the guy wanted to do someone a favour he could have done this without going on the telly how much of this is more about his ego than helping those in need.

I agree with chippy here and didn't watch the program as it sounds like a poverty version of the apprentice and I don't have a TV license anyway.

International Law is quite clear. A refugee must seek asylum in the FIRST country that they enter! How did three men from Syria manage to get to the UK DIRECT from Syria?

If they flew here by air then in Syria they must have had influence and money.

If they didn't, they are NOT refugees within the meaning of word.

I am sympathetic to refugees in general, but these three should be returned to Syria to free up places for genuine refugees.
