Where is the best place?

Shall I hunt in peoples recycling boxes of a night and nick them?

It's annoying because I know a few people that drink wine, but they only ever buy screw tops which are **** for corking because the neck isn't wide enough.

You can buy them from wilko or Tesco or if you dont want to buy them search the local recycling plant. Or ask a local hotel or bar to save them for you.
In 6 months I have collected about 40 cork top bottles just by asking friends and neighbours, I have just had to ask them to stop saving them for now as I have so many!
I have used screw cap, corks do fit into them ok.

Hey Shadow
I ask the local Italian Restaurant, they're happy to keep them. I usually ask on a Friday morning and then pick up on a saturday morning.

Thanks guys, I'll ask all the local bars/pubs/restaurants to save some for me, cheers.

I posted a wanted add on free cycle and have been offered about 40.

The screw top ottles work fine for corking. Also use the small wine bottles with screw tops and use them as either small samples or for use with cooking

Go on, turn to the dark side.
Beer bottles work fine and crown caps are cheaper than corks.
