Going to be brewing this in the very near future. Its going to be my first attempt at a bitter.

WELL WHAT DO YOU THINK???????

Expected ABV - 5.7%
Expected !BU - 60 IBU
Brew lengh 20ltrs
Grain bill
5kg Maris Otter Pale Ale Malt
100 g Chocolate Malt
100 g Crystal Malt

Hop additions
26.0 g First Gold (7.6%) - 90 min
15 g Fuggles (4.8%) - 10 min
15 g First Gold (7.6%) - 10 min
10 g Fuggles (4.8%) - dry hop in secondary
S-04 Yeast

Boil 90 minutes
Mash 90 minutes 68oc
 
I think you need to revisit your recipe CB ;)
You will need closer to 6kg of pale malt to give you 5.7% abv :thumb:
If you use the recipe tool above you can check your recipes :D
 
Cheers for that TubbyShaw :thumb: . Just reread and it should be a 20ltr brew length and 5kg of Pale.
 
I've plugged that recipe into Beersmith and I'm getting very different figures on the IBU's :wha:

26.00 gm First Gold [7.60 %] (90 min) Hops 24.7 IBU
15.00 gm Fuggles [4.80 %] (10 min) Hops 3.0 IBU
15.00 gm First Gold [7.60 %] (10 min) Hops 4.8 IBU

I used pro mash V1. But saying that im still getting to grips with it so i could have done somthing wrong.
