Purchased new seals for some of the corny kegs I have. Problem is they smell quite strong - you know, that smokey rubber smell !! I've done all sorts of soaking and washing and cant get rid of it. I've also just tapped into a keg of Razorback and I had used one of the new seals on that keg - it definitely has a taint to the taste and i'm wondering if its from the seal ?

Any ideas how to kill the odour on the rubber seals ??

try silicone (VQM) o-rings for lid seals rather than NBR nirtile rubber washers which may not be designed for food use. they are softer and seal easieron older keg/lids too ;)
