Going to try a Golden Cascade bitter
See if I can find something the father in law will drink :D

Okay so using a recipe from the forum

4300 g pale malt
250 g crystal malt

35 g cascade 90 min
25 g cascade 15 min

Mashed for 90 mins at 65c
Sparged till I had 34 lt
Boiled for 90 min

Now the recipe says it should come out at a SG of 1044 but I have an SG of 1051 which if all goes to plan should result in a abv of 5.3% as oppose to the recipe estimate of 4.4%
should I liquor back with cooled boiled water or not bother if I should how much :wha: and how do you work it out?

Guessing you have 25 ltrs after the boil .I would add 4 ltrs to get it to 1044 approx

Looks like you've got some good efficiency there if you've managed to extract 1051 with four and a half kg of malt :)
