Orangina.jpg

I flipping love this stuff and the train of thought was,
Prime bottle with orange with pulp in and...

Shake to wake the taste

So to start with I thought an orange cordial boiled and primed with pure orange
But made me think what does fermented pure orange juice taste like?
I know WOW is orange based but never actually tried it

Hence the reason for this topic...

I don't really want a it to be a TC because eventually I would like to stay true to the recipe
Of orignal orangina

Orange, grapefruit lemon and mandarin
And what percentages of each would people think makes up the classic drink?

Hehehe *quickly clicks edit edit edit*

And most importantly I want it about 4-5%
I'm not in the mood for pop! :drunk:
Just to make my motives perfectly clear!

Why not buy a shed load of orangina, boil it and brew it? Or some cheapo equivalent

I have done that with iron brew and coke and ginger beer
And they always loose there twang

Also the bits would fall to the bottom during fermentation and be lost in the sediment
That's why I thought of adding pulp to prime as it will be after all the sediment has been gotten rid'a

Wouldn't be orangina without the bits!!

Thanks for ur reply nevertheless :thumb:

Brew orangina, prime with pulp. Maybe even throw some orange juice with pulp in after fermentation (though for that you'd need to stabalise, so you'd need to force carbonate)

Just buy vodka and mix it in with orangina. Job done :)

I did Irn-Bru then backsweetened to the same level as actual Irn-Bru..... tasted exactly like Vodka and Irn-Bru.
