Cheeky bottle today very low carbonation as you would expect since its still so young but tasting really good :) think its going to be a great beer in time want to try something different tho any ideas ?
Regards Steve

The Amarillo beer presumably? Has the previous brew improved at all?

Yes and no it hasnt Clibit its still awful lol like you said its went wrong somehow never mind moving on. Time for something new i think
Regards Steve ps how was your trip?

Trip was great! Had lots of craft beers in some brilliant brewpub and bars. We got a really cheap deal, and it was cheap out there too. Half a litre of quality beer for around 1.60 Euros. Which is about £1.20.

Today thought i would try a porter so heres the recipe
Pale malt 3490g
Brown malt 550g
Crystal 455g
Choc malt 92g
60 min mash 60 min boil
Hops
Fuggles 53g at start
18g last 10
Yeast WLP575

Looks rather like Fullers London Porter, with a Belgian yeast. Nice!

It is Clibit the LHBS recommended it no pulling the wool over your eyes lol

Still going like a rocket today longest biab ive done so far is it the yeast i have used?

Could well be, but it's only a few days, nowt unusual really.

Had a little taste very strong tasting never had a porter before thinking about dry hopping it but not sure what to try what would you recommend Clibit and how much
Regards Steve

I wouldn't dry hop myself. If you do, an English hop or Styrians. Strong taste is the malts. Especially the Brown malt. Porters tend to improve with conditioning, the malt flavours are a bit raw early on, smooth out with time.

Todays brew

Crystal 265g
Hops at 60 mins
Fuggles 29g
Goldings 29g
15 mins
Uk Pilot 19g

So 4 days off now got to get at least 2 brews on any ideas
