Hey all, I was wondering if making a yeast starter for cider would be done with the apple juice/water to a gravity of 1040-50 or should I make it a higher gravity as I will be using champagne yeast ?

What would be the optimal temp, starting gravity, amount of yeast to star with and time to let the yeast grow ?

A lot of questions I know:doh:

If you mean dry champagne yeast you don't need a starter.
