Just phoned a couple of local indian restaurants - they told me they sling their barrels in the skip when they are empty, so they are going to keep a couple for me. I love free stuff! Might be worth giving it a go in your area, if you're in need of an fv or a boiler.

Awesome!
I've been toying with the idea of one of these, and there's an indian restaurant only round the corner. Think it's worth mentioning next time I'm in - i'll call it my 'takeaway container' haha

Thanks for mentioning :)

What size are they? I guess you are going to turn them into a fermenter... or beer barrel?

I'm pretty sure they are 30 litres. Two FV's and a grain store. Might even turn one into an electric boiler.

30Ls mango chutney? You'd need a shed load of poppadoms to get through that.
