Hi

I didnt know where to post this question as its not really a homebrew question.

Last week I purchased two 5 litre minikegs from Strathaven Ales. One was there red ale "Claverhouse" and the other their 80 shilling called "Old Mortality"

Anyway the Claverhouse has since been consumed without any problem but after two pints of the Old Mortality the keg has stopped pouring. I got two decent pints out of it last night but today it has slowed down to a dead slow and stop trickle.

They are 5 litre pressurised Huber EasyKegs, with a bottom tap that you pull out. There is a valve that you twist from zero to one on the top prior to pouring. I have done that.

Does anybody know how I can get the ale out of this keg? :wha:

I have solved the problem, though its not an ideal solution. Using a pair of scissors I removed the top centre bung and am pouring the beer out the top of the keg.

Just as well I am off work tomorrow. Happy days are here again. :drink:

If you have removed the top seal, will it not pour from the tap?

No it still would not pour from the tap. I think the tap must have been blocked with sediment. I tried cleaning it with a pin but this did not help either.
