Hi all

Just about to brew up my first batch ever
I've got a can of Muntons Connoisseurs Pilsner - it says on the instructions to empty the can into the fermenter, 'add sugar or spray dried malt extract' and add the necessary water.
Then it goes on to say 'sprinkle on the yeast' - what yeast!?
Will I need to get a bag of yeast for this then, if so what type?

I asked the guy in the shop what I'd need to this kit, so he gave me a 'beer enhancer' to use in place of sugar/malt extract, as it's a combination of both, and also some carbonation drops for use when bottling. Do either of these go in place of the yeast perhaps?

Thanks in advance for any help:drunk:

There should be a packet of yeast under the can lid:smile:

 of course there is!

Didn't want to open the bugger until I had everything ready incase it was just a lid keeping the ingredients fresh
Thank you sir

Turns out the 'dry ingredients' in the can are actually a treacle like substance - almost contaminated my bucket by nearly throwing up!

Do I need to wait until the foam fades away before adding the yeast?
