I'm moving up from 5L demijohns

I need one or two 5 gallon/23L demijohns. Fitting bungs would be nice too. Or even 2.5 gallon ones.

Anyone near Rossendale got some to spare?

If you are talking about a 5 gallon glass carboy i hope you have a good back.

Have you considered fermenting bins?

.

LOL - yeah I did consider the weight. That's why I'm considering 2.5 gallon, but they're not as common I think.

I want them it for secondary stage mead fermenting, so not plastic unfortunately.

Lifting 5 gallons in a plastic bucket that has a handle can be tough enough, lifting 5 gallons contained in glass with nothing more than a couple of finger catches is asking for trouble, a gallon of water weighs in at 10lbs . With mead and it having a few different recipes for taste/flavour why not experiment with 5 different takes on it with super long conditioning time and see how it works out.
