Hi.
The recipe I plan to use call for 15g of Goldings pellets no % alpha is listed, my LHS had east Kent goldings not pellets with 5% alpha how much do I need to use? They are packed into a silver pouch with the air sucked out and I have 100g.

Many thanks. Aamcle

Just use the same. Pellets are just chopped and compressed whole hops.

You get *slightly* better efficiency from pellet as you effectively have a larger surface area but you probably wouldn't notice.

I believe that 100g of pellets are equivalent to 110g of whole hops. But as Calum says it isn't a major difference, especially as you have no idea what AA% the recipe calls for (which makes it a pretty useless recipe IMHO).
