Hi all, just brewed up another batch of beer on saturday and it went as follows for BIAB

3KG Bohemium Pilsner malt
300 gms Torrified Wheat
300 gms pale Maris Otter
in 4 Gallons of water.

Mashed in at 65c and held at 62/3 for 90 minutes
Sparged and added back in then raised to a rolling boil

10-12 gms of Chinook at 60 mins (11.7% AA) Pellets
10-12 gms of Chinook at 30 mins (11.7% AA) Pellets

Irish Moss at 15 mins

Flame out and transfer to bucket
Boiled up 50gms of oak leaves in half a gallon of water for an oaky flavour, left to go cold and used this to top up the fermenting bucket.

Topped up to 5 gallons.
pitched US-05 at 16.5C

OG came in at 1040, brewmate software said 1041 so am pleased with that. Target percentage is 4.2% approx.

I will dry hop later with 5gms of Chinook for 5 days then another 5 for 5.

Currently in the kitchen for the next 16 days or so.

Have to say the wort smelled lovely, have no idea how this will turn out but thats part of the fun.

From memory BGU's are in the 30s as am writing this at work. I do have some Amylase enzymes to add in but not sure if i will.

Quick update in hybrid.

Got home last night to find the 1 gallon demijohn I had on the lid of the FV had been caturpaulted off and into the sink, was upsidown and empty (i had filled it with water)

The airlock had been snapped and the bucket lid was ballooned upwards.

This seems to be one very active brew moreso than my others
