Hi I broke my old hydrometer. Got one on line. The old one had an alcohol scale and an SG scale. This one doesn't is there a printable or calculating website to help with this please. I normally have a value of 40 to 50 for the beer.

Thanks.

To approximate the ABV, subtract the finishing gravity (something like 1008) from the starting gravity (something like 1045) to get something like 37. Then divide by 7.5 to get 4.935, which is as good a guess on final ABV as you will get and at a spurious number of decimal points. So your beer is 5% ABV - ish.
