So second brew day, adapted a doom bar clone recipe (when i say adapted, i mean have changed every part!)

Gone with
1000g pale malt
250g munich malt
75g carapils
4 ltr mash-75 mins

Hops
3g northern brewer 60 mins
6g northern brewer 5 mins

Part of my adaptations are due to not wanting 100g odds and ends of core grains... is that bad??

Really enjoying my brew days. For 5 ltrs its easy to do in the kitchen whilst faffing around doing other stuff.

It'll be fine. There are no speciality malts in that recipe that would suffer from a small change in relative proportions and carapils doesn't do anything anyway.

LOL

Actually, the Brulosophy tests show that practically nothing makes any difference. Just keep it simple! :thumb:

Well put everything into brewers friend as i went along and hit the OG it calculated so we will see what it comes out like. Tasted different to my first brew so thats always a good start!
