I fancy having a go at modding a blonde kit with grain and hop additions to make a red IPA. Just need a bit of advice about which grain to steep to get the red colour. I had thought Red X malt might be OK, but as I'm just doing a steep of a relatively small amount of grain, would something else be better, I'm just a bit worried that as Red X is designed to be used as the majority of the grain bill, I wouldn't be using enough to get the red colour?
