Having now successfully harvested and used yeast from bottles of Duvel, Chimay and Westmalle, I have a number of other bottles which indicate refermented in bottle etc. Have looked online to see what I can find, but still no wiser as to whether any of these may allow the right yeast to be harvested. Anyone tried with any of these?

I've not tried harvesting the yeast from bottles but i do know the Belgians sometimes add a different yeast strain when it come to bottling to allow for a full on carbonation so you may not be harvesting the primary fermentation strain.

You could always use what you get out and try a cheeky quick 1gl extract recipe to see what you end up with and if it's a winner you'll have a decent amount in your primary left to pitch up to a full size batch.
