I was wondering if it is possible to culture enough yeast from one bottle's sediment, to make enough yeast to pitch into 12 litres of wort.
If so how long would it take if I had a jar and stir plate, which I am planning to build?
Also what size Erlenmeyer flask should I buy?

I've got a 2l flask and find it a sufficient size, I overbuild so it's rare I need less than 1.5l. For really high gravity beers I'd probably need to step up the starter but it's so rare I don't see it as a problem.

If I did a high gravity beer it would probably be a small batch anyway.
