hi everyone,
first home brew bottled 5 days ago, have been told i have to leave to condition in the bottle for another week. cant wait to open that first bottle!

Hi,
Ideally, you should leave it somewhere warm for a week, and then somewhere cooler for a couple more at least... you need a bit of patience !

Whereabouts in Co. Durham are you from ?

Stephen

hi and welcome , yes you need to leave your brew the longer the better after say 4 weeks it may taste ok , after say 10 weeks it may taste good and so on . Although some beers like wheat beers are best around 4 weeks but most are best around 10 weeks or longer

going to get another brew started on monday, the last one was a brupaks special lager. fancy an ale of some sort for this one, something with a bit of depth to it, any suggestions?

I know it well - the wife is from Spennymoor originally, and we are often up that way, andn I like to go into the Surtees, and The Ship at Middlestone.

Congratulations !
