ive got a fish tank heater and was wondering if i can put the Fermenting bin in a water bath to keep a better constant temp

do u have any idea how much electric the fish tank heaters consume?? are they expensive to run

What's the wattage of your heater?

I use a 75W in a 30 litre FV for my 15-19 litre wine fermenters or a 150W in my 50 litre stock pot for my 25-30 litre FVs.

The heater won't be on continuously and it will help if you put some insulation around your bucket, like an old duvet or sleeping bag.

I would guestimate running costs for my 150W at no more than 10p per day.
