Hi guys ,
Been a busy weekend , as we have a wood burner being installed shortly I thought I better get organised and get a log store made.

Lots of prefab stores on the Internet but none that took my fancy, I've loved cedar shingles for a number of years so I decided to bite the bullet and buy some.

The best thing about working with cedar is the fantastic smell !!!

I sourced some copper off cuts on eBay and made a form of ridge strip.

I'm no chippy but I'm well chuffed with my efforts should be able to hold 300 9" logs plus kindling on the top tier .

Hope everybody has had a great weekend, cheers all :thumb:

Very nice, especially the copper, bet that cedar smells lovely too

Up until this I was pleased with mine, which is a double set of Ikea pine shelves with sides and a pitched roof added, but you have me on style

Sure is, pic was for fun, using it isn't......
I bought the maul from machine mart and used it for an hour and thought "FECK THAT", might be idyllic on a Swiss mountainside swinging it but not in a back yard in Barnsley   so I bought a 4 ton hydraulic log splitter :thumb:

BarnsleyBrewer - impressive haul! Are you buying and prepping yourself, or actually chopping the trees down?
