I have two really old Vaux beer crates that I love as I can store used bottles before cleaning and bottling my next brew.

What does everyone else use to store bottles like this? I've looked at buying some more crates but they're quite expensive.

Have a look at these mate. They also do 40l ones which are 31cm high for £6.59.

I use these plastic crates. They cost around 5€ plus a bit of plywood to sit in the bottom as for some reason it's wavy
they have some draw backs,
you can't stack em unless you cut the bottom out and fit your plywood underneath, this doesn't bother me as I have the room put them as they are and I have 10 of them
They have no bottle dividers so if you are transporting them any distance you need to make sure they are full with 28 bottles, either full or empty
Other than that they serve my purpose which is good enough for me
