Hi all, it's competition time again!

Get 'er Brewed have offered up 20 lots of 50g bags, one of each of the hops listed below. So what does that mean? 20 lucky people can get 50g of each variety - a whopping 450g of hops, for free. Usual terms and conditions apply, in that only one post per member, a prompt review (within one month of receipt) so that means you will have to brew with them as soon as you get them, followed by another review at tasting time. UK and Eire residents only, and you will have to order something from them at the same time to have them included for free.

Failure to meet all conditions will most likely mean no further entry to any HBF competition.

Have a read of the below, looks good!

There are 9 varieties in total, do a brew, review what you use, next brew same and so on until you have tried them all. The key is to get the first reviews in as soon as you can (within the specified time frame).

Competition ends one week today.

Good luck,

MM

Slovenian Hop Harvest 2015 hops now online at Get 'er Brewed.

During the harvest this year we visited many hop farmers and one of the highlights of these trips was in Slovenia, a truly beautiful country were some real hidden gems of hops have been sourced for microbreweries and home brewers in the UK and Ireland.

Some of these hops are exclusively available from Get ‘er Brewed as we bought the whole harvest of some of these ranges plus new exciting hops from their hop breeding program, we have other countries to add in the coming days but we wanted to start with Slovenia, we have a huge shipment of American hops combined with other European hops but to get started with we are focusing on these as they impressed us the most, we use Styrian Goldings in our Brewery’s Belgian Triple which won Gold at the Beoir All Ireland Craft Beer Competition and we are already big fans of Aurora, the new ranges have been well received in samples from some of Irelands best craft breweries.

Styrian Aurora 2015 8.8%
Aurora is aroma hop variety of high quality, high contents of bitter substances, excellent bitterness and aroma. The hop gives a great, mellow tropical fruit flavour and aroma, along with a slight herbal flavour. Great for a summer ale and with enough character of its own to stand up in a single hop beer.

I am in but I need to check do we have to brew with all 5 varieties within one month? (you could blend a few together of course)
