Autumn Brewing Co., a brewing company dedicated to producing high quality, gluten-free beers and lagers has announced it is to supply supermarket chain Booths with its innovative products" just one month on from the company’s official launch.

The brewing company’s ALT BREW range, which features a Bavarian Style Pilsner and an English Pale Ale will appear in the beer aisle across 18 Booths stores in the North West and Cumbria including Fulwood, Windermere, Settle, Keswick and Penrith.

Peter Briggs, founder of Autumn Brewing Co. said: “We’re thrilled to announce that our ALT BREW range will be appearing on the shelves in Booths . To have our beers stocked in such a well respected supermarket chain so soon after our launch is very exciting and it’s a sign of great things to come!

“While Autumn Brewing Co. is dedicated to producing high-quality, great tasting beers using naturally gluten-free ingredients, our ALT BREW range is aimed at all beer drinkers" not just those who observe a gluten-free diet. Which is why the ALT BREW beers will be positioned in the Craft Beer section rather than the FreeFrom section of the Booths stores. We hope our brands will wow beer drinkers in the North West.”

The ALT BREW range currently consists of ALT BREW NO.01 Bavarian Style Pilsner, which has been shortlisted in the FreeFrom Food Awards 2017 and ALT BREW NO.02 English Pale Ale. Both brews use naturally gluten-free brewing grains; rice, millet and quinoa to produce craft beers which offer an something that is different from traditional barley based beers.

Brewed using naturally gluten-free Californian rice malts and German Tettnang hops, ALT BREW NO.01 has a smooth bitterness and clean finish. ALT BREW NO.02 English Pale Ale combines Californian rice malts with traditional English hops and uses Cascade hops, to give a subtle twist to the aroma and flavour of this bittersweet ale.

Talking about their new offering, Pete Newton, Beer Buyer at Booths said: “We’ve built our reputation on sourcing great quality, unique produce. We understand that in order to stay ahead of our competitors we have to keep sourcing the very best products to delight our customers.

“Stocking the ALT BREW range in our stores has enabled us to expand our craft beer offering, giving beer drinkers a unique alternative to barley based beers. We are sure this will be welcome news to all craft ale drinkers" especially those who observe a gluten-free diet.”

Autumn Brewing Co. beers and lagers are certified through the Coeliac UK Crossed Grain Symbol scheme with every batch being tested by a United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited laboratory, to ensure it is below the recognised gluten-free standard of 20 parts per million (ppm) before being sold.

The ALT BREW range is also available online at the Gluten Free Beer Store and from a selection of pubs, restaurants and beer shops. To find out more about Autumn Brewing Co. and to see a full list of stockists, visit www.autumnbrewing.co.uk/

Fantastic. They are good. Sadly I live nowhere near one.

On a slightly related note I found a Gluten Free version of Old Speckled Hen in Tesco today. :)

Never heard of them, they must be just up north. To me Gatwick airport is up north so thats most of the country.
